Hopi Earth Symbol Sterling Pendant Necklace Signed

Vintage Native American Hopi Tuuwaqatsi pendant necklace. The Tuuwaqatsi or earth symbol is the main symbol of the Hopi people. The round pendant was designed and hand crafted by a skillful Hopi silversmith. It is a heavy pendant with a textured finish and an overlay design on an oxidized background for a striking contrast. This earth symbol is very important to the Hopi and it even appears in their flag. The pendant is hanging on a sterling box chain that is 16.5 inches long. It is signed on the back JBJ.
